Landscapes attract me as they are always changing. You can return to the same place time and again and the image you come away with will always be different. My favorite landscape images are subtle.  Simple hills with a cloudy sky.  It always amazes me how a great landscape image can come from a vista of an unplanted field contrasted with a dramatic or clear blue sky.
